Album Chart: Lil Wayne hangs on to No. 1

After reclaiming the top slot last week, Lil Wayne 's "Tha Carter III" will remain seated in the No. 1 position on the US album chart for the second consecutive week, and third week overall.

With sales of about 125,000 copies, "Tha Carter III" outdistances Coldplay 's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends," which stays put at No. 2 on the forthcoming Billboard 200 chart with sales of about 113,000 copies. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan data.) Also unmoved is Disney's "Camp Rock" soundtrack, which remains at No. 3 with sales of about 88,000 copies.

Bringing some new blood to the chart is Beck , whose "Modern Guilt" moved about 84,000 copies during its first week out, enough to debut at No. 4. Kid Rock 's "Rock N Roll Jesus" follows at No. 5, a two-rung jump thanks to Rock's latest hit single, "All Summer Long," which helped the album sell about 61,000 copies.

Rounding out the Top 10 are the "Now 28" hits compilation at No. 6, the "Mamma Mia!" soundtrack at No. 7, Rihanna 's "Good Girl Gone Bad" at No. 8, G-Unit 's "T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight)" at No. 9 and John Mayer 's "Where the Light Is: Live in Los Angeles" at No. 10.
