Little Boots Gallery Spotlight: San Francisco, CA - Sept. 19, 2009

Lancashire, UK, native Victoria Hesketh has been performing as Little Boots since 2007. Hesketh's reason for using the name is simple: It's a nickname given to her by a friend based on her very small shoe size.

The singer/keyboardist released her debut album, "Hands" in the UK this June, garnering the No. 5 spot on the UK Albums Chart. The set is scheduled to hit US stores this fall, but, in the meantime, Hesketh's EP, entitled "Illuminations," is available stateside. Singles from the mix such as "Stuck on Repeat" "New in Town" and "Magical" helped it peak at No. 14 on the Billboard Dance/Electronica Chart.

LiveDaily first spotted the rising star at this year's SXSW conference in March, when we recorded an exclusive acoustic set. Last weekend (9/19), LiveDaily photographer Tim Mosenfelder attended her concert at The Independent in San Francisco, and here are some of his best shots.
