Britney Spears [ tickets ] will premiere her newest video, "3," this week during a three-day Twitter promotion, according to a press release.

Yesterday (10/28), the pop star released three screen grabs via her TwitPic account. Today (10/29), Spears plans to release three 5-second video clips every three hours via TwitVid. The video clips--which also will be available as downloads at Britney.com and BritneySpears.com--will be released in non-consecutive order, challenging fans to piece them together to create a full 15-second teaser clip.

Friday (10/30) at 10 a.m. Eastern, Spears will Tweet the URL that links to the actual "3" video premiere.

The song "3" is one of 17 tracks on Spears' upcoming album, "The Singles Collection." The album--the regular version of which is scheduled to be released Nov. 10--also will be available as an "ultimate fan box set" that is scheduled to hit stores Nov. 24 and will include 29 chart-topping songs, special packaging, remixes and a booklet with "iconic" images and "fun facts" about each track, according to a press release.
