Tanya Tucker takes her 'Turn' on the road

Country songstress Tanya Tucker has mapped a fall and winter run of the US behind her first album in seven years, this summer's "My Turn."

The casino and theater journey begins tomorrow (11/6) in San Bernardino, CA, and works its way east through the end of the month. The 11-date trek is scheduled into 2010, with a concluding performance slated for Jan. 23 in Bossier City, LA. Details are below.

Tucker released "My Turn," her 24th studio set and first on the Saguaro Road label, in June. The 12-track album consists of covers of several country music standards, including Buck Owens' "Love's Gonna Live Here," Merle Haggard's "Ramblin' Fever" and George Jones' "Walk Through This World With Me."

"There was a fear of not being able to do these songs as well, or do them justice," Tucker acknowledged in a recent interview posted at her website. "You get the originals implanted in your head. I just wanted to try to make these my own--like they did."

"My Turn" follows Tucker's 2002 self-titled record, which she released on her own Tuckertime label.
